Nero d'Avola DOC Erice

Area of production: produced in the vineyards in the Doc Erice territory
Grapes: Nero D’Avola 100%
Altitude: 250/300 mt. above sea level.
Density: 4.000/4.500 plants per ha. Shoot thinning to reduce production per vinestock.
Production technique: harvesting in boxes of only healthy grapes. Destalked, vinification in red with traditional soft pressure of the skins and maceration at a controlled temperature of between 25 - 28° C. Cold bottling and refined in the bottle for 12 months.
Colour: intense red colour.
Perfume: characteristic of Nero D’Avola, with delicate notes of berries, like blueberries, raspberries, blackberries well blended with a hint of spices.
Taste: full, velvety and persistent flavour. In an elegant harmony one perceives fruity notes which make it extremely pleasing to the palate.
Bottle: 75 cl - 13,5% Vol. Best served at: 14° C.
Accompaniment: ideal with medium seasoned cheese, grilled or oven cooked red meat, particular and suitable, with grilled fresh tuna.
